"Aunt Ann" Biedermann

Anna M. Biedermann of Pearl River, NY, died peacefully at 100 1/2 years of age on March 9, 2008 at home, with her family by her side. She was born August 27, 1907 in NYC. Ann came to live in Pearl River in 1916, as a youngster with her father (Leo F), her mother (Amelia Henninger Biedermann) and older brother Everett. She drove her father's Model "T" all the way up from the Bronx before a drivers license was even required. She moved into her home when horse drawn wagons,oil lamps, hand dug wells, potbelly stoves, vegetable gardens, chicken coops and outhouses were the normal amenities of country living. She went to school in Pearl River but left to care for her ailing mother. She then went to work at 16 in Dexter Folder Co. where she ran the Payroll Dept. until her retirement. She was a faithful parishioner at St. Margaret's Parish and was the organist since she was 16 years old. She retired in her mid 90's after 80 years of service. Her kindness and generosity will be greatly missed by her remaining family and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, father, brother and her stepmother Helen Biedermann. Ann is survived by her devoted nephew, Leo and Elaine Biedermann of Pearl River. Her Beloved Great nephew Bill and Kerri Biedermann and her Cherished Great Great Niece, Ava Elizabeth Biedermann of Westfield, New Jersey. Burial at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
